Alessandro Maggioni | Creative Director Skip to main content

ATELIER PERELÀ is the studio of creative director Alessandro Maggioni. He loves to bring his poetic approach to every narrative and audiovisual interaction he produces.

His career spans more than 20 years in the media industry. He began working in Milan for design studios and communication agencies, and in 2011 moved to Berlin to develop innovative media formats for younger generations. His interest in the role of analog in digital culture lead him to explore the world of handmade paper-craft and stop-motion animation, and to share this knowledge through workshops held in schools and kindergartens.
With BADABOOMBERLIN, the company he cofounded in 2016 with Daniel Huber, he has worked for major museum institutions in Germany (Bauhaus Dessau, Futurium Berlin, Grassimuseum Leipzig) realizing playful interactive installations. He created original concepts for babies and their families performed on the stage of the Deutsche Oper Berlin and in a sold-out tour in Shanghai with the IMAGINAria ensemble.

He has recently expanded his activity collaborating with composers, theater stages and actors. Research on new formats has led him to develop an interactive animation table with which he performed in object- and figure theaters across Germany (Schaubude Berlin, Münchner Puppenmuseum, T-werk Potsdam), and Denmark (H.C. Andersen Hus).
